Surprise!

Did you miss me?

This blogging business is trickier than I thought. ;) With life in limbo and 2 energetic toddlers and a rather special announcement I thought I should share with you all....

Surprise! We are expecting a new addition to our little Peder-pod. PLUS, my sister is pregnant as well!!! How fun is that?!?

So there were a few months there I had to survive the good ole morning sickness, but I've finally entered the 2nd trimester and am feeling much better!

Here's how we announced the pregnancy to our families...

Juliet was a great model for the picture. =) Both the girls are exuberant about having a baby and make sure to tell little baby goodnight every night before heading to bed by hugging my belly and giving kisses. They are such sweet sisters and love announcing the news everywhere we go.

Anyways, just that small, delightful tidbit of info for today! I've got some creative thinking to do to figure out how we want to reveal baby's gender and name... so stay tuned! Feel free to send any ideas along my way. =)

The Limbo Game

How many of you have been in a place in your life, where it just feels like limbo? Like the place off of the movie Inception - a dream world that never ends... never gets anywhere.

That's where we've been for awhile since getting back. God has been so good to provide a place for us to live and a business opportunity for Caleb to try his hand at, but it's been a long waiting game.

I guess part of the reason it feels so much like limbo is the unknown for the future. We know we're going to eventually move from where we're at now, but when? We know Caleb will get a job elsewhere, but where? The boxes of all our house junk will eventually get unpacked, but how much longer do we have to wait?

It's been quite the adventure of a different sort. Learning to live on less, being surprised at how little we actually need (as a lot of our things are still packed away), and trying to figure out how to start over in a lot of ways.

Anyways, enough musing and onto some fun details! This month marks the official start of Caleb's business he's started up with his dad - Harvester's Catch. His dad is fishing off the WA coast and Caleb is selling the fish to local restaurants and people.

Tomorrow marks the first delivery day. Yay!

If you're interested, check the business out at
http://www.harvesterscatch.com/

While maybe one fish would be too much for your family, you could always chip in with a few others to share the price and fish!

That's something to chew on for now. ;D

To Blog or Not?

Hello again! I know it's been awhile... like a really long while... I had even begun to wonder myself if I would write again. What does one write about after going on a trip around the country and then settles back into every day life? Does anyone really want to know that we made our beds (or not) today and ate mac 'n' cheese for lunch? Probably not...

Though with that being said, I still want to continue blogging. So please be gracious with me as I struggle through the next few posts, trying to find my new voice and way to share life with all of you.

It might not be the same, but I do hope to share things that will make you smile, promote conversation, or maybe generate good ideas. Perhaps a recipe or poem, or just whatever God is teaching us in our lives right now... whatever the case may be, I hope it's something you'll enjoy reading!

So here we go! =)
